Privacy Policy
How data is handled on imemyself.dev and related personal apps, tools, and domains that link to this policy. These are personal projects, not a commercial platform.
Scope
This policy applies to:
- This website and its public static pages
- Related apps and tools that link to this policy
- Related domains and subdomains controlled by me where this policy is referenced
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@imemyself.dev.
Who runs this
The operator ("I", "me") is the individual owner of imemyself.dev. I am responsible for how personal data is handled on properties I operate.
What data may be collected
Depending on which app you use, data may include:
- Account & auth data: email, user ID, authentication records, and session data where login is used
- App content you create: records, notes, uploads, messages, settings, preferences, and other content you choose to save
- Technical data: IP address, browser/device type, timestamps, error logs, request metadata
- Local storage: some tools store drafts or recents in your browser (for example IndexedDB/localStorage)
- Analytics: aggregated, privacy-oriented page-view analytics on some pages
- Notifications: push subscription endpoints or messaging identifiers if you opt in to alerts
Some apps may contain sensitive personal content you choose to store. That data is used to provide the relevant app functionality, not for resale or advertising.
Why data is processed
- To authenticate you and keep your account/session secure
- To store and sync the content you choose to save in each app
- To operate backups, monitoring, and reliability tooling
- To understand basic traffic patterns and fix bugs
- To send notifications you explicitly enable
Where data is stored
Data may be processed or stored using infrastructure and service providers needed to operate these projects, including:
- Hosting, CDN, and DNS providers
- Database, storage, and backup systems
- Authentication and session services
- Analytics, logging, and monitoring tools
- Email, push notification, and API providers where an app requires them
Data may be stored outside your country. I apply reasonable access controls regardless of region.
Sharing
I do not sell or rent personal data. Data is shared only with service providers needed to run the apps, when you direct an app to use a third-party service, or when required by law.
Retention
Data is kept for as long as needed to operate the relevant app, maintain security, handle backups, or meet legal and operational needs. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period. If an app is shut down, related data may be deleted, exported where practical, or retained only where necessary.
Security
I use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, such as access controls, authentication, encrypted transport, and infrastructure protections where applicable. No system is perfectly secure; use these tools at your own discretion.
Your choices and requests
- Do not use apps that require data you are unwilling to store
- Delete content inside apps where deletion is supported
- Clear browser local data for client-only tools
- Email me to request access, correction, export, deletion, or withdrawal of optional processing where feasible
I will review privacy requests sent to hello@imemyself.dev. Some requests may be limited where data is needed for security, backups, abuse prevention, or legal obligations. You can use the same contact for privacy complaints or grievances.
Cookies & local storage
Apps may use essential cookies or browser storage for login sessions, theme preference, and offline functionality. Analytics, where used, is intended to avoid ad tracking and cross-site profiling. Your browser may still store standard session or preference data.
Children and minors
These services are not intended for children or minors. If you are under 18, do not use apps that require personal data unless you have appropriate parent or guardian permission. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated occasionally. The effective date at the top will change when it does. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
